This ﬁrst part of the book features fundamental topological ideas, many of which are necessary to do a decent job in presenting nonlinear analysis. In addition, much of it is part of the topic of nonlinear analysis. It is assumed the reader has had a typical advanced calculus course including functions of many variables. The middle. The book is concerned with the application of a variety of methods to both non-linear (fixed point) problems and linear (eigenvalue) problems in infinite dimensional spaces. Author was interested in the construction of eigenvectors and eigenvalues. Functional analysis, the study of infinite-dimensional vector spaces, often with additional structures (inner product, norm, topology), with typical examples given by function spaces. The subject also includes the study of linear and non-linear operators on these spaces and other topics. This book presents current research and applications in nonlinear analysis influenced by Haim Brezis and Louis Nirenberg.
